MOTO MORINI CORSARO TI22, LA VINTAGE SPECIAL

THE MORINI ONE-OFF DEPARTMENT HAS CREATED A UNIQUE CORSARO THAT RECALLS THE RACES OF THE SEVENTIES The latest One-Off created by Moto Morini draws inspiration from the endurance racing of the seventies. Last in chronological order but the first created on the basis of the new Corsaro 1200 ZZ and in the name it recalls Titanium, a noble material with which one of the most notable elements was made, the exhaust system made specifically for this custom-built.

The One-Off department of Moto Morini, which creates one-of-a-kind specimens upon request and on customer specifications, presents the Corsaro "Ti22", a special version created by bringing the Corsaro 1200 ZZ back to those times when endurance races were depopulated and were for manufacturers the best stage in which to exhibit the reliability of their mechanics. To give it the look of an endurance motorcycle, a round headlight was mounted in place of the double headlight used on the production model, surrounded by an aluminum fairing hand-beaten by an Italian craftsman. The tank - exhausted compared to the standard one - and the single-seater tail are also made of aluminum and with an unrepeatable shape: thus the performance of the "Ti22" softens the naked muscles of the Corsaro ZZ and draws a line that appears as drawn from the front to the rear. from the wind. The black and bronze livery chosen for this unique specimen leaves some areas in aluminum on display to emphasize the use of this material, typical of the racing motorcycles of the period that inspired this One-Off.

The Arrow titanium exhaust system is also a unique piece made specifically for this variant. The manifolds make some evolutions that are reminiscent of the expansion chambers of 2-stroke engines, almost embracing the crankcase of the 1200 CorsaCorta engine. The double overlapping silencer shows off its titanium structure and carbon end caps, cut obliquely. Also produced from solid is the steering plate bearing the two "M" of the Moto Morini logo, on which the handlebars are fixed. Also particular is the choice of spoked wheels instead of the forged aluminum spoked ones of the ZZ. The Corsaro “Ti22” was born with Pirelli Diablo Superbike tires, to reaffirm the link with the racing world. The other features of the Corsaro ZZ are confirmed: 139 HP and 125 Nm engine, Brembo braking system (but carbon fiber levers have been chosen on the handlebar), customizable digital instrumentation with a 5 ”screen produced by the Milanese AIM. As with the standard models as with the One-Offs, the Italian quality of the Moto Morini is highlighted in every detail and in every choice. Also that of the context for the photographic set: to contextualize the Corsaro “Ti22” Franchini Legnami of Pavia was chosen, a few kilometers from the Morini headquarters in Trivolzio.
